The reliable deletion route is email: write to hello@urgnt.in with the phone number on your Urgnt account. We complete verified requests within 30 days.
1. Request deletion by email

Email hello@urgnt.in with the subject “Urgnt Account Deletion Request.”
Identify the account
Include the phone number used to sign in and tell us whether you use Urgnt as a job seeker, employer, or both. Do not email your OTP.
Complete verification
We may ask you to verify control of the account or phone number before deletion. This protects accounts from unauthorised requests.
2. Request deletion in the app
In Urgnt versions that show this option, open Settings → Delete account and follow the confirmation steps. This control is being added to the app. If it is not visible in your installed version, use the email route above—it is always available.
3. What is deleted
Once your request is verified, we delete or de-identify account data that Urgnt controls and no longer needs, including:
- your Urgnt account, phone number, optional name and selected role;
- your device push token;
- account-linked location and product-usage records where they are retained;
- job applications and their optional voice introductions or photos;
- if you are an employer, your job posts, business details, address and map pins, and optional business photos or videos; and
- other content and settings associated with the deleted account.
Deleting your account ends access to it. Employer job pins linked only to that account will no longer be available through the active service.
4. What may remain
- Aggregate analytics: product-usage events may remain indefinitely after they have been combined into aggregate information that does not identify your account.
- Information held by another user: an employer or seeker may have independently kept contact details or application information you chose to share during a call or application. Deleting Urgnt’s copy cannot remove data from another person’s phone or records.
- Limited required records: we may keep narrowly necessary information where applicable law, a valid legal process, fraud prevention, security or dispute resolution requires it. We restrict retained information to that purpose.
5. How long deletion takes
Urgnt fulfils verified account-and-data deletion requests within 30 days.
We will confirm when the request is complete or explain if we need more information to verify the account. We will also explain if a narrow category must be retained for a legal reason.
6. Uninstalling is different
Removing the app from your phone does not delete your Urgnt account or server-held data. Follow the email or in-app steps above to make a deletion request.
