Urgnt helps people discover and contact each other about work. We are not the employer, job seeker, recruiter or placement agent, and we cannot promise a hire, applicant, wage, attendance or outcome.
1. Your agreement with Urgnt
These Terms govern your use of Urgnt’s app, website and related services. By creating an account or using Urgnt, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Urgnt is operated from India and is available globally. You must follow the laws that apply where you use the service.
2. What Urgnt does
Urgnt is a map-first discovery platform. Job seekers can find nearby openings, call an employer or apply. Employers can publish job pins and review people who contact or apply to them.
Urgnt does not employ users, act as their agent, set employment terms, run payroll or make the final hiring decision. An employer and seeker are responsible for checking each other, discussing the work, and agreeing on pay, hours, duties, safety and any employment relationship.
We do not guarantee that a listing is suitable, that information is accurate, that an applicant will attend, or that using Urgnt will lead to employment or a hire.
3. Accounts and age
You must be at least 18 years old. You sign in with your phone number and an SMS one-time password (OTP). Keep your phone and OTP secure. Do not let another person use your account or pretend to be someone else.
Give accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity through your account unless you promptly tell us it was used without permission.
4. Job seekers and employers
Job seekers
Urgnt is free for job seekers. A seeker chooses whether to call or apply and whether to attach an optional photo or voice introduction. When a seeker calls or applies, the employer can receive their name, phone number, distance and the content attached to that application.
Employers
An employer must be authorised to post for the business and must provide a real role, accurate pay and work details, a valid business location, and a phone number at which seekers can contact the employer. That contact number appears on the job pin.
Employer paid features may be introduced later. We will show the price and applicable terms before an employer buys a paid feature. Adding paid employer features will not change the rule that Urgnt is free for job seekers.
5. Acceptable use
Use Urgnt only for genuine, lawful hiring and work discovery. You must not:
- post fake, misleading, duplicate or unlawful jobs;
- ask seekers to pay an improper recruitment, application or placement fee;
- misrepresent a business, role, salary, location, working conditions or your identity;
- harvest, scrape, buy, sell or reuse phone numbers or other user data outside the hiring conversation the user chose to start;
- spam, threaten, harass, exploit or defraud another user;
- discriminate in a job listing or hiring decision where applicable law prohibits it;
- upload harmful, illegal, infringing, abusive or sexually explicit content;
- access another account, bypass security, interfere with Urgnt, send malicious code or automate access without permission; or
- use the service for trafficking, forced labour, illegal work or any purpose that puts a person at risk.
If something looks unsafe or false, do not proceed with the job or meeting. Contact local emergency services where there is immediate danger and report the issue to hello@urgnt.in.
6. Your content and responsibility
You remain responsible for job posts, business details, addresses, photos, videos, voice introductions, application material and other content you submit (“User Content”). Make sure you have the rights and permissions needed to upload it and share any person’s information shown in it.
You give Urgnt a limited, worldwide permission to host, copy, process, display and deliver User Content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service. This permission ends when the content is deleted from our active service, except where a limited copy must remain under applicable law.
We may review, reject, remove or limit content, and may warn, suspend or close an account, when we reasonably believe these Terms, the law, user safety or service integrity requires it. We are not required to monitor every listing or message.
7. Privacy and contact details
Our Privacy Policy explains how Urgnt handles phone numbers, location, job and application content, push tokens and usage analytics.
Contact sharing is part of the product: a seeker’s details are shown to the employer when the seeker chooses to apply or call, and an employer’s contact phone is shown on its job pins. Do not use those details for an unrelated purpose or share them further without permission or lawful authority.
8. Maps, SMS and notifications
Urgnt relies on Google Maps for maps, Google Firebase for push notifications, and an SMS gateway for OTP delivery. Their systems can affect availability and their own terms and policies may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge for data or messages.
9. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Urgnt useful and available, but it may sometimes be slow, inaccurate, unavailable or changed. Maps, distances, job pins, notifications and OTP delivery can depend on your device, permissions, network and third-party systems.
We may add, change, pause or discontinue features, and may limit access for maintenance, security, legal compliance or misuse. Where practical, we will provide notice of a material change.
10. Urgnt’s property
Urgnt’s software, design, branding and service content—other than User Content—belong to Urgnt or its licensors. We give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service under these Terms. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell or exploit it except where applicable law expressly allows.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Urgnt is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that every user, job, business, applicant, map position or statement is accurate, safe, lawful or available.
Users are responsible for their own conversations, meetings, hiring checks, agreements, workplaces, payments and conduct. Use reasonable care before sharing more information, travelling, accepting work or hiring someone.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Urgnt is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, lost income or opportunity, user conduct, or loss caused by reliance on a listing, map, distance, notification or third-party system. Nothing here excludes a right or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
12. Ending your use
You may stop using Urgnt at any time and may request deletion through the steps on our Account & Data Deletion page. We may suspend or close an account for serious or repeated violations, safety risk, fraud, legal requirements or threats to the service.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Urgnt changes. We will publish the revised version here and change the effective date. If a change materially affects users, we will provide an appropriate notice. Continued use after the new Terms take effect means you accept them.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India will have jurisdiction, subject to any consumer right or mandatory local forum that applicable law does not allow these Terms to change. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve a problem.
